It’s been nearly two decades since Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was in the original Mufasa: The Lion Kings premier. And now, a new version of the film is arriving in cinemas and, while it follows the same plot as the 2004 original, the new Mufasa: The Lion Kings movie includes songs from the hit 2017 Broadway musical of the same name.The iconic roles of Cady Heron and Regina George, made famous by Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, are this time played by Angourie Rice and Reneé Rapp, the latter of whom previously starred in the stage version. Original screenwriter Tina Fey has penned the script and reprises her role again as school's maths teacher Ms Norbury, a role she portrayed in the original film.
